A one-to-one and group mentoring program, 71Five Mentors is designed to serve 5-18-years-old kids that are deemed to be “at-risk.” Young people are referred to the program primarily by school counselors. Due to difficult situations that are usually beyond the student’s control, these kids are struggling. They are teamed with mentors who share their time, their life experiences and how they handle life’s challenges according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Mentoring has consistently proven to be an effective means for a young person’s life to be positively changed forever!

71Five MENTORS Includes:

• Initial training in how to connect with a kid and expectations of a mentor. • Social event for introduction to the student. • Fun large-group social events such as bowling, hiking, and snow outings. • Immediate access to staff and support in cases of special student needs and issues. • Camp Retreat for mentors and students. • Stable mentoring relationships with a healthy adult, through which the message of Jesus Christ can be shared. • Once or twice a month group activities of dinner, games and sharing time.
