Lisa is a Grants Pass native and has lived her entire life in the Rogue Valley.  She was not raised in a Christian home but accepted Christ’s offer of salvation as a young adult.  She is the mother of seven, five adult children and two teenagers, and has been homeschooling since 1989. 

 

Lisa worked as a medical transcriptionist and a medical coder before becoming a small business owner for many years.  She was unexpectedly called into social work in early 2019 when she found her passion for helping people and made the not so difficult decision to close her business.  She began the call to service by working with survivors of domestic violence and then segued into developing programs and operating transitional housing facilities and a homeless shelter.  Lisa knows the best and only hope for the lost and hurting is to be found in Christ, and she felt a deep desire to share the gospel with those she served.   She also recognized that early intervention, mentoring, and immersion into the love of Christ expressed through God’s people is the most viable solution to the growing problems she saw in her daily work.  Lisa is excited to join 71Five and be a part of building a culture of Trust to Hope in Grants Pass. 

 

When she isn’t on the job, she can most often be found working on one of her many homesteading projects or enjoying the great outdoors where you will likely hear her exclaim, “Look what God made!”
