Austin Brass was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but he spent his formative years in southern Oregon after relocating at a young age. In 2021, he moved to Texas to pursue pilot training and his career goals. Shortly after arriving in his new home, he embraced Christ as his Savior.

 

While living in Texas with his new faith, he found great joy in actively participating in his church, serving in various roles, and building relationships with other followers of Christ.

 

At the start of 2024, Austin felt the Lord tugging on his heart to return to Oregon, so he listened and moved back to his hometown of Grants Pass. Since then, it has been an incredible (and sometimes chaotic) faith-building journey, leading him to a church he calls home at Philippi, to marriage with his best friend, Anna, and now to serving the youth as the VoTech Assistant Coordinator at Youth 71Five Ministries.

 

Austin is blessed to have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with young people at 71Five and teach them valuable vocational skills. He is passionate about doing what brings him the greatest joy: helping others draw closer to Christ and grow in their faith. Austin believes that making connections and sharing knowledge can leave a lasting positive impact on the lives of those he mentors, and he is committed to serving others with love and compassion.
