71Five Justice Coordinator – Grants Pass

Chris is a long-time southern Oregon resident. His journey of faith began when God radically saved him at a youth camp when he was 15 years old. From there he has served faithfully at his church in various departments. Currently he and his wife Shelly are the Youth Pastors for Joy Church Grants Pass.

Chris has been married 16 years and counting and has 6 children; of whom two were adopted through foster care. They did foster care for about six years, taking in kids who needed emergency placements. They continue to have a heart for kids, and students, and a desire to see their lives changed. Chris has earned an associate degree in theology and Fire Science. Apart from working in ministry, Chris is also a Captain with a city fire department. He has earned many certifications and honorary awards working for the fire department. Chris and Shelly are passionate about serving the youth in the Josephine County community. Their desire is to reach the youth and provide them with the resources they need to succeed in life.

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 NLT
