Logan moved to the Rogue Valley in 2020 at age 28 after years of living throughout the Pacific Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands. As he built relationships in Medford, he felt called to settle down. God’s timing proved perfect. Soon after arriving, he met his now-wife Elizabeth and adopted son Alexzander, getting married on February 10, 2024.

 

From an early age Logan developed a wide range of skills and a deep love for Jesus. By age 12 he was working on the property alongside his father, holding a job at a local restaurant and becoming the first in his family to follow Christ. At 16 he converted the family garage into his own bedroom and by 19 he was the primary handyman for more than 40 rental units in the Portland area. In his early 20’s he got great grades in medical-science courses at PCC hoping to join the medical field and at 23 he raised $5,000 to spend a year serving in the Salvation Army’s Revolution Hawaii discipleship program.

 

By 2025 Logan had experience in health sciences, medical caregiving, general construction, ministry, casework and commercial driving, to name a few, yet was unsure of his next steps until he noticed a 71Five sign. Sensing God’s prompting he stopped in and met Mark Shelamer who introduced him to the mission of 71Five and VoTech. Logan quickly recognized how his diverse background and journey overcoming hardships and addictions could be used to serve youth and glorify God.

 

With time it became clear that God was calling him to join the Youth 71Five family as an Assistant Coordinator at VoTech where he is excited to invest in the next generation with the skills, faith and life experience God has given him.
