Melanie started out with Youth 71Five Ministries in 2019, as the Phoenix/Talent Campus Coordinator. Her passion for bringing hope to young people stems from her own journey of putting her faith in Jesus when she was 18 years old. This propelled her desire to see young people find the love and hope that only comes from God, that she knew she desperately needed as a young person. She finds joy and purpose in watching young people find trusting relationships and support with caring adults, that can help set them up to be healthier and happier individuals.

 

After having her daughter, Melanie took a step back from leading a campus ministry and transitioned into the role of Administrative Specialist. She has found a growing passion for administrative work. She enjoys working behind the scenes while still carrying out the same passion she has for helping the younger generation.

 

Melanie grew up in Sacramento, but God planted her here in the Rogue Valley after she graduated from Southern Oregon University. She lives with her wonderful daughter and the two of them enjoy the beauty of the valley together and the great community they are a part of.
