I’m an Intern at 71Five youth ministries, since my calling I have got to be in the front row to see Christ work wonders in the lives of others. I currently work in the VoTech program at 71Five, I have seen many students grow and change over the course of one class. One student in particular is named Camden, the first time I met Camden was my first day at VoTech. Camden was a very quiet and reserved person. I had brief talks with him and every response was one worded and very empty. Over the course of the class he started opening up. He got more involved, talkative and overall more social. He came from not even waiting to be in the class to being the most involved in the class. We provided a safe supportive work place and put tools in his hand. Just from that one experience I know a lot more youth would also benefit from the same experience.

 

By working at 71Five my goal is to create long lasting and trusting relationships with youth. Just as I have struggled as a youth, I understand how important it is to reach a hand out to help the coming generations with their walk of life.
