71Five PARENTS

We bring hope to pregnant and parenting teens and their children with encouraging and trained mentors. We affirm parents to make good choices, accomplish their goals and move toward independent living utilizing the resources of community partnerships. We learn together as we study the bible and complete evidence-based parenting programs. Overall, our focus in Parents ministry is to develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

Parenting a baby or young child is a challenge for anyone! Teen parents may feel alone with unique struggles, such as being rejected by peers, unsupportive family, financial burdens, or abandonment. We want to encourage young parents to unearth shame and judgement and free themselves through faith in Jesus. Having a child is something to be proud of and parenting and raising a child is a great accomplishment. Our aim is to be an advocate, a caring guide, a faith filled encourager, intentionally posturing ourselves as a supportive and empathetic mentor. Gathering a group of young parents who can relate to each other is healing.

  • We bring hope to pregnant and parenting teens and their children with encouraging and trained mentors.
  • 71Five Parent’s Night: is a place where young parents can come and be surrounded by people who care. Hope is formed as we enjoy good food, provide childcare, offer friendship, pray and we learn together. Parents Night is Every Monday from 5-7pm Location: Station 71 Five Community Center: 1241 W 8th Street, Medford.
  • We provide Active Parenting the First Five Years, an evidence-based parenting program with the partnership of The Family Connection. This program is court approved.
  • We also offer parenting education workshops to Jackson County’s high school students.

Are you a teen parent? You are invited to join us!
